Early Life and Education
Dineo Ranaka was born on the 16th of January 1983 in Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital in Soweto, Johannesburg South Africa. She attended the University of South Africa for her degree program.
Career
Dineo Ranaka started her career in the entertainment industry as a presenter at 5FM.
She was presenting The Fanta World Chart Show before making different moves to other prominent radio stations including YFM, Metro FM, Cliff Central, and Highveld Stereo.
Dineo Ranaka was the co-host for YFM’s show titled Essential Rush.
She gained massive attention after the success of her show titled Dineo Live on Drive on YFM. This show was widely known in the country and her talent and attitude were truly appreciated.
After a long time, she joined Metro FM and hosted a morning show titled The Bridge and thereafter Metro FM’s Top 40.

In 2010, Dineo Ranaka had a dispute with singer Kelly Khumalo. This dispute came as a result of the singer being late for rehearsals for YFM and Chevrolet’s Divas party.
In 2012, Dineo had a breakdown on air and was replaced by Linda Mbuso. It was said that the breakdown was caused by her boss’s refusal to allow her to attend the J&B Met celebration in Cape Town.
