Vusi Thembekwayo (born on March 21, 1985) is the founder and CEO of MyGrowthFund & IC Knowledge Bureau and a South African venture capitalist and entrepreneur.

Vusi was born in Benoni, Gauteng Province, South Africa, on the East Rand, on March 21, 1985. Benini High School was where he completed his secondary education. Since he didn’t know Afrikaans, he was held back for two years. From 2008 to 2009, he studied Management Advanced Programme, Commerce at the University of Witwatersrand.
He attended the Gordon Institute of Business Science for a postgraduate diploma in business administration from 2010 to 2011. The South African-born Venture Capitalist earned his master’s degree in Corporate Finance (Advance Valuation), Financial Modeling, and Valuation from INSEAD. Between 2011 and 2012, this happened. He earned an Executive MBA (Dean’s list) in Business/Managerial Economics at Ashridge Executive Education at Hult International Business School from 2015 to 2017.
Career
Vusi chose to look for work after declining to attend university to support himself and his family. He found a company that specialized in helping unemployed South Africans find work in other nations. He became Africa’s number-one motivational speaker at the tender age of 17.
As a result, he gained a reputation as an entrepreneur, and his name became well-known. In 2010, he was named director of Metcash Group. In the Metcash Group, he obtained the highest EBITDA score. Global Professional South Africa is now owned and operated by Thembekwayo. He also serves as the CEO of a small African investment and advisory firm.
He founded his own company, Global Professional SA. His ambition for 2030 is to develop 300 long-term black businesses. This will be accomplished through identifying and assisting high-growth African-American entrepreneurs with financing, incubation, development platforms, and business development.
Vusi recently formed MyGrowthFund, where he launched the #Top40 mentorship program to help 40 high-growth enterprises improve their operations and achieve new heights. He achieves this by investing 1 million Rands in a 1.5-year mentorship program. Vusi lives in South Africa, Kenya, Nigeria, and Uganda.
Vusi is most known for his role as one of the “dragons” on the South African edition of Dragons Den. Entrepreneurs pitched their business ideas to a panel of investors hoping to win finance on DSTV Mzansi Magic’s Dragons Den reality show. Vusi, who has invested in a range of enterprises, is one of the wealthiest South Africans under 35.
He is known to be associated with one of South Africa’s finest, DJ Black Coffee.
