Bishop Israel Makamu was born on 25 May 1978, in Kattlehong, Gauteng, South Africa, to South African parents Titus Makamu and Rophinia Makamu. Bishop Israel’s father was a pastor and strong preacher of the holy books. He was brought up in the Christian way and learned much from his father before deciding to become a preacher. Bishop Israel Makamu stressed that his father’s lifestyle and preaching influenced him, and right from his tender years, he had the love and wanted to follow in his ways.

Even though he was nervous, he admitted that even though he had never before approached a lady, he had to do so when he saw her. He followed her around for a week before he finally attracted her attention. The two dated for a while before getting married in 2005.

Ntwanano, Ntokozo, and Ntsumi are Bishop Israel Makamu and his wife’s three children, and they all reside in their lovely two-story mansion in the affluent South Johannesburg suburbs.
