Bishop Joshua Maponga (born 18 July 1973) is a famous Zimbabwean social entrepreneur, motivational speaker, and musician. He is well known in the country as a leader and passionate philosopher.
Joshua has a huge passion for community development and has worked with numerous organizations, including Visio Design House, South African Entrepreneurial Development, and Global Management Center in the United Kingdom. He is also a TV host with his program “Joshua” on DSTV Channel 331.

Joshua Maponga was born on the 18th of July, 1973, in Gauteng, South Africa. Though he is a South African by birth, his parents are Zimbabweans. Joshua’s life changed when he gave his life to Christ during his youthful years when he became born again. Nelson Mandela significantly impacted and influenced him after he suffered Apartheid in South Africa.
Education
The public speaker and entrepreneur has a degree in philosophy and furthered his quest for knowledge after enrolling in the Construction Entrepreneurial Training (CET). Joshua holds a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and a master’s degree in theology which he earned from Andrew University, Berrien Springs, Michigan, United States. He also holds various certificates from multiple international institutions.
Career
Joshua Maponga started his career as a Seventh-Day Adventist church pastor. He served as a Christian minister in South Africa and many other notable African countries, including Nigeria, Kenya, Lesotho, and Botswana. He has worked in the corporate, social, and religious sectors for many years and is regarded as “A Creative Powerhouse” due to his unique abilities and outspokenness. Currently, he is the CEO of the Institute of Farmers of Thoughts, where he develops young individuals for leadership.
