Kamogelo Mphela was born on 29 November 1999 and raised in Soweto. For her education, she attended Kibler Park Secondary and then went to Boston Media House to study Media Studies for a year.
She started originally as a dancer, and this was from an early age. Before becoming a pro dancer in 2018, she tried acting as an extra on Isibaya, but it didn’t work out. She gained attention after posting videos of herself dancing on Instagram. Mphela was nicknamed “Queen of Amapiano”, and this title resulted from her dancing skills.
In 2019, she caught the attention of Major League Music which signed her that same year.
In 2021, she released her hit single, “Nkulunkulu”, which shot her into the major leagues of South African music. The song was later certified platinum.
