Kim Cloete (born 25 August 1979) is a well-known television host, stage and cinema actor, and businesswoman. She is best known for her role in Fynskrif (Fine Print), Twee Grade van Moord, and Crime: It’s a Way of Life.
Kim Cloete Biography
On 25 August 1979, in Bonteheuwel, Cape Town, Kim Cloete was born to Ivan D. Lucas (father) and Vinette Ebrahim (mother). Kim followed in her father’s footsteps and joined the South African entertainment industry. Apart from her, she also has two other sisters, Talia and Lehana.
She had her primary and high school education in Bonteheuwel. After completing her high school studies at Arcadia, Kim obtained a full scholarship to study accounting at the University of Cape Town. Although she had a scholarship, she planned to leave Cape Town and go to Johannesburg to pursue her ambition.
In 2001, Kim relocated to Johannesburg to pursue a television career. She made her television debut in Craz-E, a popular children’s show, which led to roles on DKNT, Zing, Ontbysake on kykNET, and other shows such as Lunchbox, Kollig, and Pasella. Kim also worked as a newsreader for Good Hope FM, and in 2014, she was granted a morning show called Kimmistry on Heart 104.9 FM.
In addition to acting, Cloete maintains a production firm, Long Island TV, with her ex-husband Rowan Cloete. She also has several co-owned apartments in Johannesburg’s northern suburbs. The presenter created Dreamerschild, a non-profit organization that protects women and children from violence, including human trafficking. She teamed up with Afrikaans Films and Television in 2017.

Kim Cloete married Rowan Cloete a few years ago, but the couple later split. Rowan Cloete, Kim’s ex-husband, is also a performer. She made her relationship with Loukmaan Adams, with whom she was engaged, public in 2014; however, she called off their engagement in 2016.
Nonetheless, all indications were that she was ready to call it quits on her marriage when she accepted a wedding proposal from Murray Todd, an actress. Kim Cloete’s wedding is yet to be scheduled. According to her Instagram account, the two have been pals for more than 11 years; however, at the time, he was merely a friend in a similar field.
Cloete has two children, Leah (daughter) and Duncan (son).
