Nadia Nakai (born 18 May 1990) is a talented, beautiful, and well-known South African rapper, songwriter, and TV host. She is known to have started at 16 with a love and passion for music. She later had her first studio recording at the age of 18.

Nadia Nakai was born on 18 May 1990 in South Africa to a Zimbabwean mother and a South African father. There is no information on her father, but Nadia often talks about her mother. She said it was her mom who supported and influenced her different musical tastes right from when she was a child.

She enrolled in secondary school at the Four Ways High School in Johannesburg, South Africa, before finishing in Kenya. Furthermore, she attended the prestigious and respected Monash University in Johannesburg, South Africa, where she studied for a Marketing, Communication, and Media Degree.

• Beginnings (2013 – 2017)
Nadia Nakai made her first Tv appearance on the eTV hip-hop show “Shiz Niz”, where she won a mixtape competition in which she was the first female ever to win. 2013, she gained popularity after her debut single, “Like Me”. The singer later released singles, including Saka Wena featuring Ice Prince (2015) and Naaa Meaan featuring Cassper Nyovest (2017). She has topped the music chart many times and even hosted a Red Carpet Event at the 2018 MTV Europe Music Awards.
• Present (2021 till now)
Nakai hosted her first TV show with Channel O’s Gen-Z. She collected many awards and has recently featured in a Netflix reality TV show, “Young, Famous, and African“.
