Siya Kolisi (born 16 June 1991) is a South African rugby player playing for the Western Province in the Currie Cup and the Stormers in Super Rugby.

Siyamthanda Kolisi was born on 16 June 1991 in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. He grew up in Zwide, Ibhayi, a township outside Port Elizabeth.
Kolisi was a result of young love. His father was just in his finals, and his mother was just 17 years of age when they had him. Kolisi’s mother died 15 years later, so his grandmother raised him.
Right from 12, he had been a rising talent as he always impressed scouts. As a result of this, he was offered a scholarship at Grey High School.
He later represented South Africa with the National Under-18 Rugby team for two years. As of 2021, he is the captain of the Springboks, the South African Rugby national team.
