Kabza De Small Biography
Kabelo Motha, better known by his stage moniker Kabza De Small, was born on November 27th, 1992. He is from Mpumalanga, a small South African township. He was forced to relocate to Pretoria as a result of family migration. The DJ/Producer was always interested in music; by age ten, he could already make rhythms and write songs.
Kabza attended Pretoria High School. He was an average student because he concentrated on his music. Therefore, he decided to concentrate on developing his gift after a while.
Kabza began his career as a DJ in 2009, dabbling in genres ranging from Afro-fusion house to electronic dance music (EDM). After some time, he published his debut album, ‘Avenue Sounds,’ which included the smash tune “Uber Everywhere.”
House Afrika Records published the song. In 2018, he also received much attention for his popular singles “Amabele Shaya” and “umshove,” which featured vocals from his amapiano rival Leehleza. He also collaborated with his newfound collaborator DJ Maphorisa, resulting in projects such as Scorpion Kings, which was certified Diamond by RISA (The South African rating board).
He is regarded as the best-selling Amapiano artist, and the two have also collaborated on other albums. Even though he began his music career at a young age, he has continued developing his talent. His musical style is Amapiano, which he performs in English and his native tongue. He is referred to as the “King of Amapiano.”
